How To Prepare
before:
Bring a valid form of identification: Acceptable forms include a California Driver's License, ID Card, or Passport.
Do not sign or date the documents in advance: You must sign in the presence of the notary.
Language requirement: You must be able to speak, write, and understand basic English. Please do not bring a translator to the appointment.
Payment: The $55 travel fee is due before the notarization process begins.
Important Note: In rare cases, a notarization may not be completed if the below requirements are not met. In such instances, while the notarization itself will not be charged, the travel fee is still applicable.

Verification of Identification: I will check and validate the acceptable form of ID for the individual the notarial act is being performed for.
Document Review: I will check to see that your document looks complete, ask you what type of notarization is needed and determine how many signatures and stamps are required.
Understanding and Voluntariness: I will ask if you fully understand what you're signing and confirm that you're not being pressured or coerced into signing the document.
Oath for Jurat Notarizations: If a Jurat notarization is required, I will administer an oath or affirmation.
Notary Journal Record: I will record your personal information and imprint your fingerprint in my Notary Journal to officially document the notarial act.
Official Notarization: I will provide my official signature and stamp, making your document legally notarized.
Payment: Upon completion of the notarization, I will collect the payment for the service.
